Co-Founders and CEO of SOAR
Santrece Roberts is a multi-site childcare center owner. She opened Caterpillar Corner in 2013. She started Caterpillar Corner as an in-home childcare and saw the need for quality childcare in her community regardless of race, income, sex, religion, creed, or physical conditions. High quality childcare and a commitment to continuous improvement in mind she expanded her home childcare into a resource for families in underserved communities. She now has 2 locations, one in Holt, and a second location in Pontiac, MI.
She currently partners with the Lansing School District and runs 7 of their Before and after care programs. She has over 13 years in the Elementary Education Field working in Local Elementary schools. She has over 7years in the Early Childhood Education field. She has an A.A. Degree in Child Development from Lansing Community College. She is a member of Lansing Community College’s Future Teachers Committee, Pontiac Regional Chamber of Commerce, Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, The Greater Lansing Chapter of Jack and Jill of America and a member of National Association for the Education of Young Children. She has over 8 years of substantial human services experience, professional development training, and management and supervision experience and meets the required State standards.
Trent Roberts has accumulated over 17 years of experience in state Child Support Enforcement. His duties included monitoring payments, evaluating financial circumstances, maintaining records, and collaborating with various teams, Additionally, he served as an Out-of-School Time Director for over 5 years. In this role, he managed program operations, ensured a safe and enriching environment for children, implementation of state-approved curriculum, and supervised licensed staff, all while nurturing relationships essential for program success.
